Abstract Solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs), the spheroidal-shaped, colloids state lipophilic-natured, innovative nanoscale particulate materials, are being concurrently prepared by quality-by-design approach for cellular and sub-cellular delivery of drugs other payloads with facilitated physicochemical characteristics targeted delivery. The drugs, pharmaceuticals biopharmaceutical genes to diseased body organs, tissues, mass have been developed as promising nanocarriers different high-incidence cancers disease therapies, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, tuberculosis. SLNs evolved favorable lipid-based formulation, served oral intravenous carriers that drug stable sterile transport, sustained delivery, controlled drug/payload deloading, requisite biodistributions. advantages, shortcomings, bottlenecks discussed plausible remediation strategies. laboratory-scale bulk preparations, use lipids in various preparation, surface coatings, properties final product, characterization protocols also encompassed, routes administrations, specific-sites-targeting, on-site outreach biocompatibility, bioavailability, absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics inputs relevance therapy. Plausible applications complex genetic disorders, personalized medicine, traditional alternative medicine prospects, discussed.
